Research, Findings, & Recommendations
Overview:
After getting the flows and scenarios to a place where we could gather valuable feedback from educators, we conducted a concept
test. In the test we asked if these new features have utility with educators, if they would be
desirable to them, and if they would fit into the way that they currently use BBR. We also wanted to make sure that newly introduced features
aligned to existing mental models of how educators currently interact with guests.
After the initial user test, we took the insights that were collected from the participants and used them to refine on the initial user flows. At this stage we began to work in high fidelity, making the screens as close to production-ready as possible. One challenge at this stage was making sure we were being as thorough as we could be in exploring every viable execution on the design. This led to an exhaustive exploration of patterns and layout design. We then shared with the directions with the key stakeholders to get a consensus on which directions should be advanced to the final round of user testing.
Conclusion:
Following the final usability test, we were able to draft up a final report, which captured key insights and our recommendations for design implementation and improvements, to share with the key stakeholders. We captured user feedback, design executions, and comparisons between each variation, illustrating the pros and cons of each direction that was proposed.
From here, all of the work that was done by our group was packaged and shared with the client, for the work to be continued and implemented by their internal design and development teams respectively.
